Circuit court cases, 1974-2001.

Transcripts of hearings, audio recordings of testimony, hearing folders, proceedings, correspondence, letters of appeal, final orders, and related materials pertaining to Personnel Commission cases which were appealed to the circuit court. Most circuit court appeals concern job classification, promotion, dismissal, and disciplinary actions. A small number of appeals relate to issues of racial and gender discrimination.

The Personnel Commission was created by Chapter 196, Laws of 1977, to act as an administrative appeals body for certain state employee grievances and equal rights complaints.
